What is good advice for a man with Chron's disease? Any tips?

Chron's disease appears to be a multiple-drug resistant tuberculosis caught from cattle (Johnne's disease). It makes its home in the lower small intestine and all of the colon. You will probably need to add the following professionals to your support system:

1) Gastroenterologist.

2) Taiwan-trained TCM physician (Chinese powdered herbal knowledge is very rare in the US but is imperative). Alternative is certified Ayurvedic physician.

3) Yoga instructor.

4) Macrobiotic diet teacher (cooking classes).

Catch it early enough and you might be able to avoid an illiostomy with colectomy, pooping into a bag for the rest of your live, with a cost of about $ 175 a month for pouches, wafers, tape, paste, and occasional powder %26amp; creams (to reduce or cure heat rash caused by contact with the plastics).

Do lots of internet research. Energize your BS Detector and don't even think of trusting your doctor. Don't be fooled by frauds %26amp; idiots. And don't get ripped off by the professionals above. Herbal doctors frequently charge ridiculous amounts for capsules. Don't bother with capsules. The freeze-dried powder mixture for your condition should cost $ 7/day.

Be very wary of steroid use - neuropathy is pretty nasty and very difficult to cure (loss of nerve health in fingers and toes).

Good luck %26amp; may GOD bless.

As someone who has had this disease for over 10 years the best advice i can give is avoid dairy in large amounds, avoid spicy foods in large amounts, find a doctor you are comfortable talking with and trust, dont miss doses of your medication, get plenty of rest, and dont let it stop you from doing the things that make you happy in life
Hiya I am a 29 year old female with Chron's. i've had it since i was 7. Try to avoid eggs and dairy products if you can. Oh and stress can make it real bad. Keep well xx
Crohns, is very had to say what is right treatment its kind of an individual thing, Your Dr will get you on meds that will work for you. Its not curable, but it is livable. I was diagnosed last year after emergency surgery for a blockage, and its an everyday challenge
