Hello all, I have recently divorced my husband of 26 years, he never supported me or the 6 kids, I supported him and he was a controlling and abusive and frightening man. I am currently going through court to get my share of our matrimonial assetts, he is stating he and I have not lived together since 1990 and I need to know, apart from stat decs from friends %26amp; people who have known us, what else would prove his deception to the court.? I need valid proof and any other advice to make this man face his responsibility. He never paid a cent in child support, yet he has all the child support agency assessment papers, all they say is how much he is supposed to have paid......HELP!!!!Advice on property settlement from a man who lies?

In whose name is the utilities? Whose name is on the house?Contact your local post office for an official document stating where the post office delivers his mail. The postmaster can help you with this. Mail with his name and address (especially utilities) are usually acceptable proof or residency. Also, most counties have what is called a ';homestead exemption'; for property tax. If he is this good with paperwork, the county tax office will have paperwork he filed for purpose of reducing his property tax on the house. According to tax laws, this homestead exemption is his legal statement that this house is his primary residence and not a rental property. You can only have 1 house in your name for homestead exemption. But you need to get to the county tax assessors office tomorrow before he can change his residency.
